STELLA INGER-ESCOBEDO

Stella is living the American Dream, but she didn’t get here without hard work and relentless dedication. As a child, she came to the United States as a Jewish refugee from the former Soviet Union. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Stella and her family fled their homeland in search of freedom, safety, and a better life in America.

She grew up in Los Angeles and went on to graduate from the University of Southern California. Drawing from her personal experience as a refugee, Stella pursued a career in journalism, driven by a deep desire to speak truth and stand up for those without a platform.

Stella is an Emmy Award-winning journalist who has spent years working in newsrooms across the country, from Montana to Arizona to California, reporting on stories that matter. She’s interviewed everyone from political leaders to cultural icons, always lending her voice to those who need it most, especially the voiceless.

Today, Stella is a proud wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. Her life is anchored in faith, identity, and gratitude for the journey that brought her here, and for the opportunity to raise her children in a country where anything is possible.
